Hurricane Recipe: Elvis Sandwich
This week I will be focusing on food you can prepare during a hurricane.
2 slices of white bread
4 pieces of cooked bacon (pre-cook the bacon before the storm and put in an airtight container. the cooked cured bacon can be unrefrigerated)
half of a banana, sliced
2 tablespoons of peanut butter
½ teaspoon honey
A little bit of spray olive oil
1) Warm a sandwich sized griddle up over sternos. Spray a little olive oil in the pan.
2) Assemble the sandwich. Put a tablespoon of peanut butter on each slice then top with banana, bacon and honey.
3) Once the griddle is hot, toast each side of the bread the best you can until it become golden brown.
